CLB3X3 - Townsville

Overview

From Friday 6th April - Monday 9th April 2018, athletes, spectators and families from all over Townsville, Northern Queensland (and interstate) will converge at The Bowls Club Cnr of The Strand & Sir Leslie Thiess Drive .

Friday April 6 - Corporate Cup - 6pm-9pm
Saturday April 7 - Juniors U13, U15, U18 - 4pm-9pm
Sunday April 8 - Open's - 1pm - 6pm - Players to arrive at 1pm for check in, welcome and briefing - games start at 2pm SHARP :-)

An event aimed at all ages & all abilities, CLB3X3 combines Elite sport with grassroots to bring you a festival of 3X3 action along with the wonderful electric, family friendly atmosphere the surrounds “Festival 2018 Townsville”.

“We have been travelling around Australia now since 2014, aligning ourselves with key community organisers, councils, event owners and Elite sporting organisations to provide Junior and Open players with a 3X3 competition emerged in a festive and safe environment for families to attend (for free). 

Councils and community stakeholders play a big part in what we do and we are very appreciative of the support we have received so far. We have seen a real growth over the last two years in 3X3 and now it is great to see a growth in the spectators that come and enjoy “the show” as well.” said General Manager of Champions League Basketball Matt Hollard.

Players can register to compete in a range of competitions over the weekend from a Corporate Cup event on the Friday night (6pm-9pm) which engages local businesses to network and have some active fun, to a junior tournament on the Saturday followed by our Open and Elite showdowns. All competitors battle it out for their chance to win great prizes, prize money for the Open categories and the world famous FIBA3X3 ranking points….or you might just want to come along and enjoy the atmosphere and meet your favourite player from CLB’s Elite team “The Townsville Suns”.
