Queens of the Court 3x3 - International Women's Day **Official Rounds**

Overview

Queens of the Court 3x3 women's basketball events are promoted Sydney-wide and encourage women from various cultures to be involved.

We aim to increase a sense of belonging, challenge stereotypes and help create a gender equal world through these fun, social and all-inclusive events.

In addition, this event will be hosted on International Women's Day which highlights the theme for 2020... Each for Equal...An equal world is an enabled world!

Team registrations are now open.

Medals and prizes will be awarded to #1 and #2 ranked teams of each category.

Cost
Team Entry : $200 (ie. $50ea)
Team Uniforms : $99 early bird special. A set of 4 Reversible Jerseys!

Once your team is accepted, your team captain will be notified by email with payment instructions.

How many games do you play?
All teams will play 7-8 games throughout the day.
Teams making it through to the finals will play a couple more.

Each game is 10 minutes long, or first team to score 21 points (winning by 2 points).
Although we are adopting the FIBA 3x3 structure, even the official game ball, we have adjusted the rules slightly and will not be playing the 12 second shot-clock rule.

About the organisers :
Queens of the Court 3x3 is hosted by not-for-profit organisation, Each One Teach One Inc. We rely heavily on volunteers to help make these events possible. It is our goal to utilize these events as a means to empower and raise awareness around women's social, mental and health issues. The events encourage civic participation which provides opportunities through teamwork to network and connect with others to create strong support systems. The combination of the exercise and building support systems is known to assist with improved mental health outcomes. The events also promote healthy eating and living. So besides your registration fee helping to cover our costs, contributions of any kind, (financial, promotional, volunteer, prize giving) are all very welcome and we would live to hear from you if you can contribute.
